Go easy on that Reply All button

Your inbox is overflowing. So much to do! But not is all as it seems. Many of the emails that you receive are simply not for you. In fact, up to 30% of the mail you receive is due to being copied in unnecessarily or poorly targeted.

The main culprit for this? It’s not Spam. Spam filters have gotten pretty good in recent times. It’s Reply All. It’s just so easy to hit that button!

Do your colleagues a favour. Stop and look at who is on the mail and who actually needs to be on the mail. Remove those that don’t need to be on there. Share this knowledge with your colleagues.

The problem with email is people. Bad behaviours like this that could be stamped out if we shared a common understanding of how email should be used.
